In this relaxed and experimental workshop, we will act as the ‘blind editors’ of a short story stripped of its author, title and contextual information, to investigate how far the literary value of a text depends on what we already know about it.
Read Like Virginia Woolf
Devoted to the reader’s imagination, this workshop is inspired by Virginia Woolf’s way of reading in The Common Reader and ‘Phases of Fiction’. We will imaginatively engage with a section of To the Lighthouse to discover how our reading experience contributes to create the literary work.
